The extinguishers are ours. If you cancel, we collect them and put them to work somewhere else — so there is nothing to amortise and no reason to lock you in. Most of this trade sells three-year agreements because the equipment is yours and they need to recover it. Ours is not, so we do not.

Square footage is the number you know without looking it up. Unit count is the number that actually drives our time, so both are shown — and we confirm the count on a walk-through before you sign anything.

Anything not on this list — CO2, 20 lb, wheeled units — is quoted before we install it, never after.
NFPA 10 requires a documented monthly visual check of every extinguisher — gauge, pin, seal, obstruction, signage, physical damage. That duty sits with the building owner. We perform it as your agent and leave the record behind. It is a visual inspection only: no maintenance, repair, modification, testing or cleaning.
The twelve-month maintenance and a fresh tag on every unit, so the one thing an inspector always looks at is always current.

If you fry, you need a Class K extinguisher — and the hood system over your line does not substitute for it. Those are two separate requirements, and a surprising number of kitchens are carrying only one of them.
The fixed system over your line is designed to knock down a fire at the appliance. The Class K portable is the backup for what happens next — a flare-up after the system has discharged, and the whole period the system is offline for cleaning.
An inspector will look for both. Only one of them is on our programme.

What we do not do
Hood suppression systems and hood and duct cleaning are separate licensed trades with their own factory authorisations, and we are not going to pretend otherwise to keep you on one invoice. Your hood system still needs a semi-annual inspection under NFPA 96, and your ducts still need cleaning on a schedule set by how much you cook. Ask us and we will tell you who we would call — no referral fee, no arrangement, just the name we would use ourselves.
An extinguisher that has gone away for annual service is an extinguisher that is not on your wall. Plenty of servicing companies leave the bracket bare and treat that as your problem. We do not.
When a unit comes down for certified service, a loaner of the same rating goes straight onto the bracket. Coverage never lapses, and neither does your compliance.
That is the usual turnaround for certified service. The loaner stays as long as it takes, so you are not counting days or chasing anyone.
Every unit is logged against its own serial number. Yours comes back to you, on the bracket it left. Nobody is handing you somebody else’s extinguisher and hoping you do not check.
And when one actually gets used
You get a new extinguisher, not your own one back weeks later. The discharged unit comes to us, gets recharged, and joins the loaner pool — which is why the loaner that goes on your wall next year is a properly serviced, in-date extinguisher rather than whatever was left in the van. On Full Service the first replacement each year is included.
The monthly visual inspection and its documentation are ours. We perform it as your agent, we sign it, and the record is ours to defend. It is exactly that — a visual inspection. We do not perform maintenance, repair, modification, testing or cleaning on any extinguisher.
Certified annual maintenance, 6-year internal maintenance, hydrostatic testing and cylinder replacement are a licensed servicing trade. Those are performed by a licensed fire-equipment servicing company we contract and manage on your behalf — we schedule the work, handle the loaners, keep the serial-number records, and carry the cost inside your monthly rate. You are billed by us, at the price on this page, not by a subcontractor you never chose.
Plenty of companies would let you assume all of that was in-house. It is more useful to you to know exactly who is standing in your building and under whose licence.
The extinguisher program stands alone — plenty of clients want exactly this and nothing else. It is also bundled into the monthly safety programs, where the same visit covers egress, eyewash stations, first aid, and general hazards.
Most buildings have more than the owner thinks, and a few have fewer than the code requires. Either way you should know before an inspector tells you. No charge, no obligation.
